Warehouse and Logistics is not an isolated activity: it is integral to the efficient functioning of the economy – a process of connecting manufacturers, distributors, wholesales and retailers to the customers.
Warehouse and logistics carries numerous roles and responsibilities, but at Better Together we understand the complexities within this, as this differs from the manufacturing industry and in turn the skill set required moves away from an industrial production function. The term logistics defines the management of the supply chain from source of procurement to the final user. It is defined by the Institute of Logistics as “the time related positioning of resources” within the supply chain. Logistics involves getting the right goods to the right place, at the right time, at the right cost, in the right condition and with due care and attention to the environment.
