Here at Better Together we know how hard it can be to face rejection in a job search, which is why we’ve compiled this list of tips for staying motivated.

It’s important to keep things in perspective when facing rejection. It can be easy to blow things out of proportion and to see it as a failure on your part, when there may simply be a stronger candidate or other factors out of your control.

Any interview is an opportunity to learn, and one you should take full advantage of. There’s always the opportunity to ask for feedback – make sure to take it on board.

Learn a skill, take a course, volunteer; trying new things can help build up confidence, as well as help to make you a stronger candidate.

It may be tempting to dwell on your rejection and try and work out what went wrong, but ultimately you have to move on. Learn what you can, and apply it to the next opportunity you go for.
